Loved how close it was to everything, just a hop away from Atocha station and a short stroll to Puerta del Sol. The TV and fan in my room were a nice touch too.
Figuring out the door buzzer situation was a real hoot. It's like playing hide-and-seek, but with keys.

Value for money was excellent, with clean and well-heated rooms. The hostel's location is very convenient, close to the train station and with a great view of the Reina Sofia Museum from our balcony. The friendly and helpful staff made our stay even better.
Menu for breakfast could be improved with more options.

Stayed at Hostal Rivera for a short trip. Perfect location across from Atocha Station. Surprisingly quiet despite being close to Burger King. The owner was kind and helpful. Rooms were very clean, despite the old building. Easy to locate with a large sign outside and reception on the 1st floor. Ideal for early morning train departures.
Totally recommend this hotel.

Great Location and Easy to Get Around 🌍

Great location, near the train and bus station, and close to the metro station. Lots of nearby restaurants and fast food options. The owners were very nice and accommodating, providing helpful information during my stay. Plus, the room had free WIFI, a TV, and a fan, which made my stay more comfortable.
The room was quite small and there was some street noise at night, but it didn't bother me too much. The building had a typical old smell, which was a little off-putting.

I recently spent my Christmas vacation at a hostel in Madrid, and I must say that I was quite pleased with my experience. the location of the hostel was absolutely fantastic. It was conveniently located near a train station, making it easy for me to explore the city and even take day trips to nearby areas. the hostel offered great value for money. Despite being on a budget, I was provided with all the basic essentials like towels and a comfortable bed. And, to my surprise, there was even a small balcony where I could enjoy the view of a nearby park.
I have to admit that there were a couple of downsides to my stay. it was a bit challenging to find the hostel initially.

During our recent stay at a well-located establishment in the heart of the city, we were pleasantly surprised by the dedicated and helpful staff. They went out of their way to accommodate our late arrival, ensuring that our check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. From their warm welcome to their willingness to assist with any queries, the staff at this centrally located property made our stay enjoyable.
Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as noise from the busy street and the presence of burn holes on the bedspread, these were outweighed by the positive aspects of our experience. The convenient location near the train station made it easy for us to explore the city, and despite some cigarette smoke lingering, the overall cleanliness of the establishment was satisfactory.

The staff were super helpful and understanding, even with a cranky baby. Language barrier easily overcome with an electronic translator. Great location near metro and train station. Room and bed decent for the price.

We had a pleasant stay at a budget-friendly accommodation close to the train station. The room at Hostal Rivera was basic but clean, offering a comfortable double bed, a sink, and one towel for two people. The bathroom on the floor was satisfactory. Despite the language barrier, the staff were helpful and understanding, even using an electronic translator when needed. The location was perfect, and the room had electrical heating, which was a plus during our stay. it provided the essentials needed for a one-night stay before moving on in the morning.
Nothing, all excellent! 👍
